If you're looking to get into macro (close up) photography, but you're not ready to plop down $400 or more for a dedicated macro lens, give extension tubes a shot!
I have a Kenko tube set (3 sizes, which can be stacked, as shown in my video) and they are great. Now realize that your depth of field drops dramatically as you get closer to your subject, so a tripod is really needed, unless you're in extremely bright light!
